I trusted Christ as my Savior when I was a young boy. By the age of five, I had mischievously filled our living room with water and fractured my skull falling from a second-story balcony. Needless to say, I’ve never lacked a proper understanding of sin or its consequences!
Although it was the reality of my sinful condition that brought me to Christ, it was the love of God that caused me to appreciate him as my Heavenly Father. Both of my grandfathers and my father died when I was just 12 years old. It was during this fearful and traumatic time that I experienced the embrace, comfort, and protection of God. It was also the time I sensed God’s call upon my life to serve him in full-time vocational ministry.
Today, after years of formal theological education, and two decades of pastoral ministry, I’m still discovering what it means to live by faith. I’m increasingly grateful for the acceptance and adequacy I have in Jesus. Because of Christ, I’m experiencing the freedom of setting aside human expectations and resting in the warm grace of God.
The Apostle Paul’s desire to know nothing except Jesus Christ and him crucified. (1 Corinthians 2:2) has become my heart’s desire. My preaching, teaching and shepherding ministry finds its substance and meaning in the Person of Jesus Christ. Through God's grace, I have dedicated my life to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the congregation and community in which I serve.
